INSTA-Friday

The past two weeks have been complete chaos. I think I have mentioned that a time or two here on the blog. I have also been missing, I know I told you I would be back this week and it's looking like I was wrong. I will be back next week with lots to offer. I promise!

I am going to make time to tell you all about Talon's fun party, show a little tutorial and share about our time at the PBS SoCal event at Pretend City. I WILL make time!

For now, I will just give you a peek into what has been keeping me so busy.

Little man turned one! We through him quite the birthday bash with 80+ guests. Yes, yes we are insane. Yes, I know that is bigger than many weddings. Craziness!

His party was a hit but it was lots of work. Decorating and baking were a blast though. Worth every second.


We went to Pretend City the next day. Had so much fun. Mama was/is tired though.


It has required lots of caffine. However, budget said I was out of coffee money so I stuck with the homebrewed stuff and the awesomeness that is Dr Pepper.

Now that the party is over, I am focusing all of my creative energy and thoughts on The Threadery and getting products together. Luckily Nicole came over and we got my space looking super cute and it is keeping me inspired.

Insta-friday

This week has been an absolute blast. I thought I would take a break from the vacay to share some fun with you.


The fun started on Saturday with Sew Funky Market. The place was overflowing with people. I am so glad I snapped a picture before it opened up.

I came home, packed and got ready for vacation. Vacation began the next morning. We headed up to Arrowbear. I will tell you all about it sometime next week. This was our view, gorgeous.

Our time in the mountains was 3 1/2 days full of laughing, playing and....

...Dirt. There was lots of dirt. So much fun!

After a few days the kids were home-sick so we decided to head home and finish off our vacation as a staycation.


We live in SoCal so of course we started off with a trip to the beach. A long family bike ride. It really tuckered these little love bugs out.
We are all having so much fun. And of course relaxing.

I enjoyed sharing some fun instagram pics with you BUT I'm back to vacationing. I'll be back Monday.

Insta-friday Fun

This past Saturday I celebrated 5 amazing years with my husband. I think I mentioned that a few times already. Sorry, it was very exciting and I can't stop talking about it. This will be the last post about it, promise. I think.

I captured our date with some fun pictures via Instagram. It was a great day!

After 5 years, my man really knows me. So we started our morning the way every morning should begin...with a Venti iced beverage!

Up next was a bike ride on the beach. Unfortunately, my beach cruiser skills aren't advanced enough for me to shoot pics while riding. So, let's skip to lunch.
We parked on Magnolia and rode our way to the pier. Translation for those who are unfamiliar with Huntington, about 2 and a half miles. We shopped on the boardwalk and surronding area and had lunch at BJ's. If there anything better than their avocado egg rolls?

After lunch, we rode back to Magnolia and went down to the water. Hung out on the beach for an hour or so. It was a gorgeous day!

I goofed off on the drive home. We got dolled up and headed out to dinner.

I had the hottest date in the whole place by the way!

Dinner at Ruth's Chris. One word amazing! Okay, a few more words, do not leave there without ordering the Sweet Potatoes.

It was an amazing date. Can you tell?
